Aria Film Solutions wins the Teams PPF title at Tinter Battles VI
The Aria Film Solutions team, led by owner Daniel Rosas, took first place in the Teams PPF Division at Tinter Battles VI, held August 15-16, 2026, in Los Angeles. That makes the Walnut Creek shop a Tinter Battles PPF champion, at an event where the installing happens live, on the clock, in front of judges and a streaming audience.
It was a team title. Two Aria team members competed together, and each was handed a Teams PPF Battles championship belt on stage at the awards ceremony.
What Tinter Battles is
Tinter Battles is produced by Tintertainment, which describes it as a live trades sporting event and tradeshow, with live competition, demos and training for the window tint and PPF industries. The events are streamed online, and the full finals broadcast from Los Angeles is posted on the Tinter Battles YouTube channel.
Tinter Battles VI was the second Tinter Battles of 2026. It ran over two days at Blue Ground Studios in Los Angeles, mixing training with competition. According to the official event listing on Ticket Tailor, Day 2 was given over to the PPF Battles and the championship finals.
Competitors are judged on what shows up in a finished install: precision, technique, finish quality and efficiency. Official championship titles go to the winners of each division.
A new division: Teams PPF
The Teams PPF Division was new at Tinter Battles VI. The event’s registration page promoted new divisions for Los Angeles, and the commentators on the Tinter Battles 6 finals broadcast described it more than once as the first teams PPF division the event had run.
In the team format, installers share the work on one vehicle, live and against the clock. Aria’s team finished first and received the Teams PPF Battles championship belts. That result is the PPF Champion title now listed on the page about the Aria Film Solutions team.
What a Tinter Battles PPF champion title tells a PPF buyer
Most people choose a PPF installer from finished photos. A photo is taken after the shop has picked the car, the angle and the lighting. A live competition takes those choices away: the install happens in public, on a deadline, and judges look at the work up close.
Skill shown under pressure, in public
That matters with paint protection film because much of the quality sits in details that are easy to miss in a photo and hard to fix later. Edges have to be trimmed and laid down cleanly. Film has to be stretched around curves without leaving lines, and the panel has to stay free of dust while the film goes on.
Getting those details right with a timer running and a camera on you is a fair test of a team’s habits, and it can say more about day-to-day technique than a single hand-picked gallery shot.
What good PPF work looks like on your own car
You can check the same things on any PPF install, whichever shop does the work. These are common industry quality markers, not the competition’s scoring rules:
- Edges are clean and consistent, with no lifting.
- No dust, lint or hair is trapped under the film.
- There are no stretch marks or white lines where film was pulled too far.
- There are no knife marks in the paint where film was trimmed.
- The finish looks even from one panel to the next.
- You get the film brand and product line in writing, along with the warranty registration.
What a title doesn’t tell you
A competition win shows what a team can do under competition conditions. It doesn’t promise the result on any one car, and it doesn’t replace the usual questions.
Before you book, ask which film brand and line will go on your car, exactly which panels the quote covers, and what the warranty covers, for how long and under what conditions. Get the answers in writing. PPF helps protect high-impact areas from rock chips and road debris, but no film can promise chip-free paint, so it pays to know where your coverage starts and stops.
PPF and color PPF at Aria Film Solutions
Aria Film Solutions installs paint protection film in Walnut Creek, along with color PPF for owners who want a color change in a protective film. The shop says it is an UltraFit Certified Studio and a certified NAKA color PPF installer.
Finished cars are on the recent PPF and color-change projects page, which is a good place to look at edges and panel gaps for yourself.
If you’re comparing installers, have your vehicle’s year, make and model ready, plus the panels you want covered, and request a PPF quote. The checklist above works for any quote you get, Aria’s included.
